TEACHER RECOGNITION AND AWARDS
Clover is proud of the excellence and dedication all of its teachers and staff bring to their students and profession. Clover’s teachers have received district and nationwide recognition and awards.
Clover’s Special Education Resource Specialist, Kristen Baldridge, was the recipient of the LAUSD Teacher of the Year Award for 2020-21. Mrs. Baldridge was one of 22 inspiring educators to receive this award recognizing her for her expertise, success, creativity, devotion to their students, and commitment to the teaching profession. In Mrs. Baldridge’s own words “One of the greatest joys as a teacher is seeing students with disabilities welcomed, supported and valued by their teachers and peers in general-education classrooms.”
Clover’s very own Jackie Bonilla, 2nd Grade Teacher, was a 2012 recipient of the prestigious Milken Educator Award!
The Milken award is given to 40 teachers nationwide each year to honor and reward outstanding K-12 educators for the quality of their teaching, their professional leadership, their engagement with families and the community, and their potential for even greater contributions to the healthy development of children.
The ceremony took place in Clover’s Auditorium. In attendance was State Supt. Tom Torlakson, LAUSD
Supt. John Deasy, Lowell Milken, Board Member Marguerite LaMotte, ESC West Supt. Cheryl Hildreth, Elementary Directors Pam Marton and Scott Whitbeck.
