Clover Avenue School Booster Club Pledge Drive
As parents, we all want our children to have the best school experience possible. One of the most important and tangible ways that we can make our children's education even more rewarding and well-rounded is by participating in the annual Clover Avenue School Pledge Drive- our largest fundraiser of the year. Thanks to past fundraising efforts, our school made significants upgrades to its library and computer lab facilities that continue to enrich the education experience for all Clover students. With our continued collective financial support, we can further expand the learning opportunities available to our children in art, science, music, and physical education programs and provide the additional hands-on resources they deserve.

Clover Avenue Elementary School is a single-track elementary school located in a small, quiet neighborhood called Westside Village, in Los Angeles. Our proximity to the UCLA campus, UCLA family housing and convenient Westside location gives our school a rich diversity of cultures with the common goal of creating a stimulating environment for high achievement in an education-oriented community. The neighborhood is very stable. Some families have members who have attended over a span of three generations. The school was built in 1954 and recently had its 50th anniversary, which the local community celebrated with the current staff and student body.
Clover School is a LEARN school site with a very active parent component both in LEARN governance and in other parent organizations, such as PTA and the Booster Club, ELAC and School Site Council. Despite the fact that approximately one third of our students qualify for free or low cost meals, the parents of all students contribute to parent groups and are very involved with school activities.

Clover’s curriculum is based on the California State Standards and California State subject frameworks. Teachers utilize grade level pacing plans based on LAUSD core curriculum guides to assure that all students receive a rigorous core curriculum. This ensures that all students are involved in similar learning units and activities within a given a given block of time.
Clover School is proud of its Wonder of Reading Library. Classes meet in the library on a regular basis and volunteers read with and mentor students. The Booster Club sponsors a Computer Center and provides a technical expert to assist teachers and students as they utilize the center.
