Clover Avenue School Booster Club Pledge Drive (Ongoing)

As parents, we all want our children to have the best school experience possible. One of the most important and tangible ways that we can make our children's education even more rewarding and well-rounded is by participating in the annual Clover Avenue School Pledge Drive - our largest fundraiser of the year.

For the 2009-2010 school year, our goal is to raise $35,000.00 through our annual Pledge Drive.  We’re sensitive to the fact that the economic recovery isn’t complete in this country, and budgets are always tight during the holiday season.  Nevertheless, what better gift this year than the gift of education? When times are tough and money is scarce, how you choose to use it shows what you value most. 

Again and again Clover parents have shown how much you value your children’s education.  Money from previous Pledge Drives has helped pay for new computers and museum trips. With larger class sizes this year, our teacher aides are needed more than ever. Pledge drive funds pay our classroom aides’ salaries and also for our computer lab teacher and P.E. instructors. Purchases made with pledge money include Smartboards (interactive classroom projection screens), Whisperphones (tools for improving reading skills), and laptops for teachers.

We are still hopeful that every family will donate at least $250.  If this amount isn’t possible, please contribute what you can.  The important thing is that every family participates. Even a small amount will help us reach our goal and impact our students. Many of you may be in a position to donate more, or receive matching donations from your employers. 

A pledge is defined as a solemn, binding promise.  This year our pledges can show we keep our promises, and the strength of our commitment to our children does not waver in uncertain economic times.  Our children’s education is what we value most.
